Business Innovation Center
Under the College of Business Administration, is the Business Innovation Center comprised of six business clubs, a Business Consulting Center and a Capstone Center.
Business Clubs have an important role in the students’ education as a form of interactive and practical learning. They target specific areas in business education: Accounting, Human Resources Management (HRM), Marketing, Finance, Management Information Systems (MIS), and Entrepreneurship. The clubs, the Business Consulting Center and the Capstone Center are established to provide and create platforms for our students to gain first-hand practical knowledge, create understanding, and develop experience in their disciplines and/or the disciplines of their choice.

Entrepreneurship Club
The Entrepreneurship Club provides an environment that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship, where students cultivate their leadership skills through different events and activities. Students in the club participate in the development of a business, work on a business plan, and ideally implement their start-up. The Entrepreneurship Club is a place for students of all majors to explore interests in entrepreneurship, and enhance their entrepreneurial abilities.
The Entrepreneurship Club helps its members in order to discover “the work that they were born to do” and become inspired entrepreneurs. The Club holds its activities within the premises of the Business Consulting Center.
Goals and Objectives of the Entrepreneurship Club:
  • Create a positive social network to share ideas and explore opportunities.
  • Enhance students’ entrepreneurial abilities by providing an environment that will foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Provide all entrepreneurs with the tools and services, training, and education resources.
  • Training students in the development of a business, working on a business plan, and ideally by implementing their start-up.
  • Cultivate students’ entrepreneurship ideas and skills through different events and activities.
  • Learn to work in groups, coordinate tasks and responsibilities among each other, and make decisions.
  • Build a network of opportunities.
Accounting Club

The aim of the Accounting Club in the Business Innovation Center is to enrich business students with corporate knowledge, motivate them to apply their skills and talents by practically teaching them how to use accounting learning resources in the business world, and innovate ideas. Several activities are conducted to comprehensively and practically empower the students’ knowledge and grant them the confidence and trust of what they have acquired during their studies at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½.
The accounting club is divided into three zones as follows:
  • Financial Crime Role Play zone: Students get to discuss different accounting topics, such as fraud and ethical cases by enrolling in the 'accounting debate' activity.
  • Audit & Assurance zone: Students can learn more about auditing by participating in the 'ACL software' classes.
  • Accounting Information System zone: Students can learn how to use excel and other software such as Sage 50 by participating in 'Design you own accounting system activity,’ 'excel your own business ' activity, and 'SAP software' activity.
Moreover, the Accounting Club provides certification workshops for international certifications, such as IFRS. In addition, different accounting competitions are conducted inside the club.
Finance Club

With the aim of developing the student’s technical know-how, the Finance Club provides a hub where students get exposed to a learning experience combined with up-to-date facilities and softwares. The Finance Club area is comprised of three zones, namely: Trading Hall, CFA Zone and Finance Club Training zone.
There are different activities conducted in each one of the areas with the aim of equipping the students with theoretical knowledge as well as information processing skills, analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and other practical skills. Trading Hall serves as a hub where Finance classes are conducted every day and students are able to get the most out of the lectures by using the many facilities provided.
The CFA Zone is related to preparation sessions provided for the distinguished CFA certification. Students conduct preparation sessions each week and work closely with professors in order to receive the right preparation for the exam day.
In addition, the Finance Club Training Zone provides other activities such as Financial Functions and understanding of financial Statements through Excel, Palisade Risk Management Software, Thomson Reuters Eikon, Stock Trak simulation, where students get exposure to different software and gain practical skills on trading, analysis, risk management etc.
Human Resources Management (HRM) Club

Students practice different types of skills they need in the different zones that are created at the HRM club. They utilize the knowledge gained and enrich their learning process by visiting the zones created as per the major HRM functions: recruitment and selection zone, performance management zone, and training and development zone.
  • The recruitment and selection zone: Students engage in “gamification” where they need to do a job analysis on a company’s platform.
  • The performance management zone: In the “360-degree feedback” activity where students learn how to evaluate employees, and gather input from all angles and stakeholders by using software (SAP) and develop an analysis report.
  • Training and Development Zone: Students learn how to conduct a training program by enrolling in the “Flipped Cast” activity.
  • Life coach Zone: “Mentoring and Coaching” activity, where HR students advise other students about their career as HR professionals and share their experience with them at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½.
  • The HUB zone: Focus on intensive small-group interaction and team dynamics. The “HR current affairs” activity members are responsible to keep up with the latest political or social, local or international HR related events and posts, locally or internationally.
Moreover, specialized HRM software, computer-based solutions and tools are implemented for innovative and educative techniques. All these features are combined for students to easily process the flow of knowledge, generate ideas, and innovate. The HRM club helps learners improve personally and professionally by equipping them with business ethics and leadership knowledge to excel in a dynamic local and global business environment in the life coach zone.
Marketing Club

In line with the mission and core values of º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½, the Marketing Club is a space designated to amplify a student centered teaching approach through state of the art technology enabled experimentations. The club is both a consumer behavior and research, and innovation experimentation facility for students. The emphasis is Digital Marketing and Creative Integrated Marketing Communication, Market Research, and Product Development.
The Marketing Club provides an interactive learning environment that develops the learners’ personal and professional skills and corporate knowledge through innovative learner-centered business education approach that unlocks the full potential of marketing students and prepares them for immediate impact in their marketing career. To achieve this, the Marketing Club is divided into 4 different zones, each zone focuses on a distinctive purpose.
  • Zone 1 : Digital Marketing: This zone is designed to train students on how to develop a digital marketing strategy and create a complete digital marketing campaign. It also focuses on building a well designed and optimized website using existing website templates. The following activities are conducted in this zone; Creating a Digital Advertising Campaign, Building an Online Store, Building a Wordpress Website, Social Media Advertising, and Google Adwords training.
  • Zone 2 : Digital Production Room: This zone is designed to give students the opportunity to design and materialize their new product or product development idea using a 3D printer.
  • Zone 3: Focus Group Room and Observation Room: In this zone, students can practice and experiment qualitative exploratory research methods, specifically focus group interviews and observation methods.
  • Zone 4 : Virtual Reality Room: In this zone, students will build a store design and will test its marketing implications and product display in a virtual 3D setting.
Management Information System (MIS) Club

Management Information System club is one at the six clubs of º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Business Innovation Center. The club provides a diverse range of MIS activities for º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ students.
The MIS club specializes in several areas: Programming and algorithms, System analysis and Design, Network System and Security, Office Development, IT and web-design, Intelligence Technologies, and Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Intelligence
Students practice their knowledge in designing and developing software tools for business, improving their skills in office development, applying database approach for business models, and learning various IT concepts they can use in their professional lives. Students can share their business ideas they want to implement in real life, and during the activities they practice developing these ideas as a software solution. All MIS club activities are open for any student willing to participate, furthermore, according to the incentive program approved in º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ being an active club member can improve students’ GPA as well. The main focus of the MIS club is practice. Students spend almost all of their time by solving business tasks using IT.
MIS club is divided into 3 zones, equipped with 28 computers, 2 projectors, and all necessary software tools students need for running MIS club activities and practicing on their assignments. Students have the opportunity of improving their GPA by participating in activities at the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ incentive program. Also students can get º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ certificates in certain activities and also prepare themselves for professional certification.
Business Consulting Center

Business Consulting Center (BCC) is an organizational unit within the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ (º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½) that aims at providing workshops, business consultancy, various projects’ commercialization, and professional trainings to students and alumni of the College of Business Administration (CBA) and College of Engineering and Technology (COET).
Additionally, the Center supports various projects proposed by º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ faculty members, in terms of providing feasibility studies, business operations planning, managerial guidance, and the like.
The main activities that are offered through BCC are divided in several categories. These categories include: Consulting services, Workshops, Trainings, Internal projects commercialization, Business incubation, and Events
The consulting services that are provided through BCC are as follows: Startup consulting, Business plans preparation, Investment studies, Strategic analyses and planning, Marketing analyses and planning, Digital marketing, Company branding, Hosting speakers, Writing professional proposals, HRM support services, Financial analysis and planning, Statistical analysis and forecasting, Higher education consulting, Infrastructure, IT consulting, Facilities management and Soft areas (curriculum development, courses development)
In coordination with the Entrepreneurship Club at CBA, BCC is implements several activities that primarily target undergraduate and graduate º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ students. The following workshops are offered on a regular basis:

  • Generate a business idea workshop
  • SWOT analysis of business ideas
  • Business plan workshop
  • From the idea to the investor
  • Any other workshop and simulation with the topic relevant to º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ students
Business Capstone Center

The Capstone Center serves as the supporting unit for conducting the capstone projects at the College of Business Administration at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½. The Capstone Project at CBA represents the final stage of students’ graduation requirements. It crowns their collected knowledge throughout the years of study and prepares them for future endeavors.
The Capstone facilities are equipped with the latest software, study rooms, and state of the art technology to support students’ Capstone Projects and assist their independent work. In addition, students can schedule meetings with their teammates to complete the tasks assigned. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Capstone Center aims at helping students with their Capstone Project preparation by providing them an excellent learning environment along with an opportunity to seek subject-specific advice from experts.
Group projects in general play very significant roles in º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½. Capstone projects are the ultimate test of mastery in a student’s academic journey. These projects require essential features of almost all department level courses. The Capstone project provides students with an invigorating experience since it integrates all the major theories, knowledge, and skills gained throughout their academic journey.
Capstone Project Advisors are assigned from each of the following departments: HRM, Marketing, MIS, and Finance. Advisors’ role consists of assisting students in building a solid understanding of each of the business processes and in developing sound business proposals in case a team decides to propose a new business venture.
