The high-tech library accommodates a wide range of cutting-edge facilities such as e-learning zones, cinema, and individual and group study spaces. Additionally, the facilities inside the library building accommodate cutting-edge interactive technologies to provide convenience to the campus community.
1. E-learning Zones
The four E-Learning Zones are equipped with approximately 180 computers for students to access all electronic resources available through the library and the E-learning courses.
2. Interactive Technologies
- Video walls:These interactive displays may be connected to or separated from the touch table facing them and have been used to show students’ academic activities and graduation ceremonies.
- Touch tables:These devices may be used separately or connected to the video wall for group study/research of online content and databases and several educational games.
- Interactive/ Announcement screens:These screens are used to announce activities such as workshops, events, competitions, student affairs announcements, internships and more.
- Touch tablets:These devices are found on the study rooms doors for on spot room booking or accessing room after booking.
- Access control systems:These are used for students to access the meeting rooms by swiping their IDs to open the doors.
- Self-check kiosks:These self-service machines are available near the library exit for students to check out, check in and renew their borrowed books.
3. Cinema
The HD Cinema comprises high-quality equipment where students can enjoy the clarity of the visuals as well as the full-surround sound system. It accommodates around 100 movie theater seats and offers the full experience of watching a movie at the cinema.
- The Library conducts open-reservation sessions two days a week every semester and invites students to watch inspirational or motivational movies in a variety of genres, such as action, drama, and sports.
- Faculty members can also request a session at the Cinema to show a particular educational movie or display a video from º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½’s online databases.
4. Collaborative Space
The library has four collaborative spaces, which can house up to 8 people in each room for interactive and collaborative work. Each space has its dedicated large screen to facilitate the collaborative work and brainstorming among students.
5. Individual Study Spaces
The Library provides individual study spaces that can accommodate a large number of students. In addition to this, the library also has 28 fully connected high-tech individual study cubicles.
6. Group Study Rooms
The Library has 18 fully equipped group study rooms that can be used by students.
